The Young People’s Front for Democracy and Justice – Oakland (YPFDJ-Oakland), a dedicated Eritrean-American youth organization, is deeply committed to assisting newly arrived Eritrean settlers in the Oakland area. They have conscientiously compiled a range of essential resources, encompassing legal guidance, healthcare access, and various other support services tailored to the needs of refugees.
In the previous year, these compassionate young individuals launched a commendable phone donation drive. This initiative was designed to facilitate communication between new arrivals and their loved ones, thereby easing their integration into the local community.
